Goals

The CAS in Clinical Research in Health Care Organizations aims to equip clinicians, health professionals, researchers, and life sciences professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to independently design, conduct, analyse, and communicate high-quality clinical research – from formulating a research question to informing healthcare decision-making.

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

Research design & conduct

  • Formulate relevant clinical research questions and select appropriate study designs
  • Design and draft a research protocol, from the initial idea to the implementation of the study
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate clinical research projects across a range of study designs

Analytical skills

  • Apply basic concepts in biostatistics, data analysis, and programming in R/RStudio
  • Interpret study findings and assess their implications for clinical practice and healthcare decision-making

Communication & funding

  • Communicate research findings effectively to scientific and professional audiences, as well as lay audiences
  • Identify funding opportunities and develop competitive research proposals
